From Meade County Jailer Candidate to Candidate for U.S. Congress
Hello, my name is Joshua M. Ferguson. I am a Meade County citizen who originally entered the race for Meade County Jailer. During that time, I spoke out about what I believed to be serious problems and corruption in local offices.
After raising those concerns, I was charged with 104 felony counts over matters that, in my view, would normally be treated as administrative or policy issues. Those charges were brought by the same officer whose conduct I had publicly questioned.
Because of what I’ve experienced and what I’ve seen everyday people go through, I made the decision to take this fight to a higher level of government — to represent not just one office, but the people of an entire district.
Why I’m Running for Congress
Standing Up Against Corruption
I believe no one is above the law — not local officials, not state officers, and not federal agencies. My experiences in Meade County showed me how powerful systems can be used against everyday citizens who speak up. In Congress, I want to fight for stronger accountability, transparency, and protections for whistleblowers and regular people.
Fighting for Working Families
I know what it’s like to struggle, live paycheck to paycheck, and feel like the system is stacked against you. I’m running to represent working-class Kentuckians — the people worrying about gas, groceries, utilities, and rent — not the wealthy insiders who have never had to choose which bill to pay.
My Promise
I will go to Washington as I am — Unbought. Unafraid. Unstoppable. I won’t be controlled by special interests or party bosses. I’m running to serve the people of Kentucky’s 2nd District and to make sure their voices are heard loud and clear.
